Adam Alcock is a Musician, Sound Designer, Educator, and Visual Artist. He has collaborated on many unique and interactive projects, such as
XOPA, a mixture of physical theater and live sound that explores the themes of home, transitions, and soul searching,
Verdure Sounds, which explores nature's relationship with technology and mankind, and Bugged, a thought-provoking view of Mass Surveillance in our society, leaving the viewer with an unsettling awareness of its intrusive nature in our lives.

Adam’s day job as an AV Technician in the corporate world, feeds into his work and gravitates towards his inside views of large businesses, society, and money, and their effects on average people. Many of his works invoke feelings of anxiety, loss, and instability but with undertones of hope and the past.

Over time, his work has progressed from static forms like electroacoustic music and installations, to physical theater and live performances which are intimate and unique each time they are performed.

Adam has a range of experience in IT and AV ranging from band and festival work to art installations and corporate AV. Adam also has a Msc in Music Technology obtained from Leeds Beckett University.

Our mission

We're on a mission to change the way AV technicians learn their craft. There are many avenues to get into this career such as shadowing professionals, traditional training through universities, or on the job training over time. We want to allow people to learn the skills from the comfort of their homes so they are ready to step onto a site with the basic knowledge to feel competent around their peers. First hand experience always wins but having the basics under your belt can save a lot of anxiety and embarrassment for some people.

Our vision

In a post COVID world, good AV technicians are in high demand! A lot of veterans and professionals left the industry due to job security and the industry hasn't recovered. We want to bring a new wave of competent people back into the industry in an accessible route that can be accessed by anyone and bring our events back to life.
